The coffee table is a two-part glass table with a square footprint, whose effect is largely due to the choice of materials. Both panels are made of safety glass in Optiwhite quality, a decolorized float glass that avoids the slight green tint of ordinary glass and allows the transparency to appear neutral. The powder coating finish of the metal frame in deep matte black provides a calm contrast and removes any obtrusiveness from the construction.
Structurally, the table works with two levels: a fixed upper plate and a swiveling lower plate beneath it, which allows storage areas to be opened depending on the seating arrangement or closed to a compact basic form. The square cut is suitable for manageable living situations or as a side table for a larger seating landscape. The version shown here is square, with an upper and lower plate made of clear Optiwhite safety glass and a deep matte black powder-coated metal frame.
