The coffee table combines a solid wild oak top with a revolving crystal glass surface. Wild oak displays clearly visible knot patterns, lively grain, and typical small cracks and inclusions, which remain open in the lightly oiled finish, giving the table a natural, grown character. The oiling allows the wood to breathe and emphasizes its natural tone without sealing it under a film of lacquer.
The revolving crystal glass top lies flush on the wooden body, making items placed on it accessible from any seating position. Crystal glass is clearer and more color-neutral than ordinary float glass and maintains its pure appearance even over the edge. The version shown here is made of lightly oiled wild oak with a revolving crystal glass top in a square format.
