The coffee table thrives on the contrast between two materials: a clear glass top with polished edges and a base made of knotty oak, a type of oak in which knots and natural growth patterns are deliberately not removed. Knotty oak brings a lively, often high-contrast grain pattern that grounds the otherwise austere glass top and gives the table a handcrafted character.
Wheels on the frame make the table mobile, which is practical for elongated models in front of a sofa when the seating group occasionally needs to be rearranged or moved aside. The version shown here has a rectangular clear glass top, a knotty oak frame with wheels, and a low height.
