The Portello side table by Dutch manufacturer Leolux is a design by Italian designer Patrick Belli. It is characterized by two organically shaped, different-sized table tops that arrange themselves around a delicate frame like two petals. A subtle handle under the top plate allows the table to be easily moved from seat to seat. This creates a versatile storage piece that can serve as a side table or serving aid depending on the situation.
The Portello is available in a wide selection of top finishes: Solid oak tops can be finished in natural lacquer, light white oil, or all Leolux stain colors, while lacquered tops are available in numerous shades. The base can also be in polished aluminum or painted in a desired color. This allows the table to blend discreetly into existing living situations or – depending on the configuration – set a deliberate color accent.
The version shown here combines an upper top made of oak with a white matt stain with a lower top in ivory lacquer; the base is made of polished aluminum.
