The H205 Nature side table from Ronald Schmitt combines an archaic natural material with minimalist metal processing. The tabletop consists of an end-grain slab, meaning an oak plank cut across the grain, on which the growth rings, cracks, and medullary rays remain openly visible. This end-grain look is intentional and makes each piece unique. The top is supported by a slender square tube frame made of powder-coated steel, creating the impression of a floating wooden disc.
The model is offered in two wood finishes that fundamentally change its character: natural oak leaves the wood in its light, lively state, while smoked oak gives the material a warm, dark depth. The table is suitable as a standalone piece next to an armchair, as well as in a small group in front of the sofa. The variant shown here is executed in smoked oak with a black powder-coated frame.
